Effective meetings can occur by ensuring meeting participants know clearly the outcomes required, meeting protocols and ensuring the meeting allows technology conferencing integration that suits the remote workers situation. Ensuring the lead of the meeting continues to engage with all participating allowing for equity input from onsite and offsite as appropriate. Whilst operating within information privacy and Telco laws and regulations try to have offline storage of meeting for recall for remote participants.

In order to run a successfull meeting that is all inclusive, we need to ensure that our meeting agenda is clear for all participants and that meeting protocols are established. We need to have inplace a system whereby any meetings minutes are stored for all to access. With technology as it is these days you could even store a recording of the meeting itself so that the appologies are able to still hear the meeting when they are able. Video conferencing would be suitable in this case. Participants would need to be prepared for access so that they are in the rooms prior to commencement of the meeting. The leader of the meeting would also have to have a plan B so that if something goes wrong with the technology used, that there is an alturnative. It is also important that only the required attendees are sent the meeting request in the first place. The leader must be diligent in making sure that air time is equitably distributed.
